3 signs it’s time to rebrand

Here’s the thing: all brands evolve every 3-5 years. Rebranding doesn’t have to be scary — and if your current branding isn’t serving you anymore, then it’s time.

Here are 3 signs it’s time to rebrand.

1. You’re not attracting your ideal client

Your brand has the ability to attract or repel someone within seconds of discovering you. If you picked fonts and colors just because they’re your favorite, then you’re missing the opportunity to attract a specific kind of client.

Rebranding will allow you to start attracting the clients you want to work with.

2. You switched niches

Your brand should reflect the services you provide or products you sell. If you’ve switched niches, chances are your old branding doesn’t reflect the change.

In 2019, my brand looked very different. I was a motivational speaker, so my branding was fun, young, and empowering. When I pivoted to design educator, I adjusted the colors, shapes, and fonts to be still fun, but more buttoned-up and professional.

3. People don’t want to pay your prices

If you sit on sales calls trying to convince people to work with you and they always question your prices… that’s a surefire sign it’s time to rebrand.

Good branding and design communicate quality. Good design tells someone they’re getting something high-quality and worth the price. Second-rate design, however, makes someone question their decision to buy.

To sell at a premium price, you need a premium presence.
